Ruth is passionate about painting, plants and Cornwall. Her love and enthusiasm for these subjects is shown as she freely expresses her joy in the boldness, colour and texture that exude from her paintings of flora and the Cornish coastline.

Ruth paints in acrylics, oils, mixed media and collage, considering herself a versatile artist who enjoys exploring a variety of media and techniques.

Ruth gave up a successful career in advertising and exhibitions in the East Midlands to move to Cornwall in 1995. She found her 'special place' in a Cornish village which provided her inspiration to paint.
