Born in the East End of London in 1962,

J John was brought up amongst a buzzing circle of artists in Bethnal Green. He went to grammar school and studied Art O level, but dropped out as art was "too prehistoric."

His influences are Joan Miro and Jackson Pollock but he "works from the freedom within" to express his paintings.

He paints large and medium size, modern, contemporary pieces with lots of vibrancy and colours making them ideal for corporate art and offices as well as 'feature pieces' in a domestic setting. All his works are signed JJ with a cross.

Definitely an artist for the future.
